How PointStack works, in short. Keyboard reference at the bottom.
Instant rooms
Start a room in one click. No team needed.
Link it to a team later in room settings.
Rooms vs teams
A room is one estimation session.
A team groups people and rooms and sets shared defaults, like the deck.
/rooms lists the rooms you started.
Decks & settings
Pick a deck (fibonacci, t-shirt, etc.) in room settings (the gear).
Toggle options like auto-reveal and allow-guests.
Creators can edit settings any time.
Voting, reveal, finalise
Pick a card. The moderator reveals all votes at once.
Then finalise to lock an estimate.
The finalise default is the mode, the most common vote.
Revealed vs estimated
A revealed round keeps its votes until finalised, so switching stories never loses data.
Estimated means a final point was locked in.
Vote breakdown
Click the chevron on a backlog story to see who voted what.
Click a story status chip for its timeline (created, activated, revealed, finalised).
Everyone can see these.
Reactions & chat
React to a seat with an emoji.
Use chat for quick discussion. It is ephemeral, last 200 messages.
Spectators
Join as a spectator to watch without voting.
Moderators
Promote, transfer, or kick participants.
Kicking a moderator requires demoting them first.
Presence
A participant inactive for 5 minutes shows as idle on the table.
Guest vs account
You can play as a guest.
Signing in keeps your rooms and history across devices.
Capacity
A room holds up to 20 seats.
Sharing a room
Every room has a unique URL. Share it to invite anyone.
Guests join if allow-guests is on.
